Stephanie Baxter - DoulaMy name is Stephanie. I'm a mother to two beautiful children, Franklin and Matilda. I am a first generation Australian with a Serbian background. Being Serbian, there is a large focus on nurturing women during pregnancy and postpartum. This is something that I thought was normal until my friends and family started to have children of their own. I noticed that the culture in Australia is extremely different, we have a “bounce back” culture here and not the slow and nurturing culture I was brought up with.

Since then I have been a massive homebirth advocate, having served as a volunteer for HBNSW for 11 years, and now for Homebirth Australia. As of early 2024, I have supported over 112 births (over 40% of these were planned homebirths!). Supporting homebirthing women is my absolute favourite job in the world, because home is where my heart is.
I am also a nutritionist & herbalist (with a special interest in pregnancy conditions), pregnancy & birth photographer, and Holistic Pregnancy Bodyworker - my own curated therapy utilising Birth Healing, Spinning Babies/Optimal Maternal Positioning, Holistic Pelvic Care and Mizan Therapy belly/sacral massage, to optimise your body for a pain free pregnancy and smooth birth.
