I have been a midwife for around 20 years, qualifying and working in the UK for ten years before emigrating to Australia with my family- I am a proud mother to two homeborn children. Those births were the most amazing, empowering, and addictive experiences of my life! It is my passion to help women and their families achieve a homebirth experience in a safe, nurturing, and meaningful way. I see birth as a natural and normal life event but one which has huge significance in your life and experience as a mother ever after.  I understand the role of the birthplace and the midwife in facilitating a physiological birth and believe in the power of women to birth instinctively with no intervention.  I offer continuity of care with all visits provided in the home, giving women true choices in their pregnancy and birth, and empowering them to confidently take responsibility for their bodies and their babies. Working in partnership with Gail Colquhoun through the Nesting Hub ensures you would normally have a known second or back-up midwife if required.
